Description

Learn from industry leaders from the wine, beer, and spirits industries in a panel/moderator format, discussing the concept of innovation in the beverage industry. (**or this could be only wine industry focused, depending on the panelists interested/selected**) Explore the more obvious/traditional forms of innovations with tactile examples such as new packages, new products and new techniques, as well as the less obvious (often overlooked) forms of innovation in the industry. These areas of thought and discussion include solutions to environmental challenges, experiential marketing strategies, brand collaborations, software/AI/selling tools, new forms of consumer/guest engagements. The hope is the attendees will walk away with some practical examples of successful innovation happening in the industry today; the conversation will spark their creative juices, and teach them to think critically on how to apply innovative solutions to problems they face every day.
I am passionate on this subject and would be honored to moderate, while also bringing real world examples if innovation in me work. This seminar format would be best suited with an additional panel of 3-4 panelists, each from a different background, with tangible examples of innovation in their field. This could be as wide as panelists from Beer, Wine, Spirits, Restaurant, Distributor, and Journalism, backgrounds, or as focused as panelists from the wine industry only. Examples of the types of folks that would be great on the panel to speak on the subject of innovation would be Carlo Mondavi, speaking on founding Monarch Tractors (all electric) to solve for global warming in viticulture. Ikimi Dubose-Woodson would also be a great panelist to discuss her innovative journey to creating Roots Fund - NPO founded to enrich the lives of communities of color in the wine industry. Or perhaps someone from the production side of winemaking/spirits, discussing the benefits of alternative packages. Happy to discuss and help find key industry luminaries to help fill the panel.
