When a one hundred ft Sycamore tree fell on their new Laurel Canyon home in November of 2001, Dayna and her husband Bryan could not imagine how they would manage purchasing holiday gifts for friends and family that year. Dayna looked to Bryan and said “I wish we knew how to make something.” That wish not only inspired the creation of a delicious coffee liqueur that was hand delivered to friends and family on New Year’s Day, but also sent the couple down a path that (over 15 years later) produced a spirits company, two additional partners, multiple products and a host of awards. That company was Laurel Canyon Spirits.

Laurel Canyon Spirit’s first offering, Black Hjerte Coffee Liqueur, was launched during the Pandemic in 2020. With bars and restaurants closed, the journey of introducing Black Hjerte to the world began one tasting at a time. Determination, a great team of partners and the support of SGWS has been the key to success as Laurel Canyon Spirits continues to grow.

Spirits however is not the only industry where Dayna’s talents are on full display. As Executive Producer of Beta Petrol Productions, Dayna is a seasoned music producer of over eighteen years working on award winning projects that have earned multiple AICPs, Clios, Grammys, Cannes Lions and more.

These honors have only inspired Dayna work harder as she continues to deliver top level creative stating “when you do what you love, whether it’s hand crafted spirits or music, it doesn’t feel like work. It’s all about putting something special and meaningful out into the world.”
