Tom Lutz is the Inventor and Founder of Repour Wine Saver, a revolutionary wine preservation stopper. Repour is the first of its kind to use oxygen-absorption in a
stopper design to actively and continuously remove oxygen from the air in a bottle, and from the wine itself. By doing so, it is the first wine preservation product to keep an opened bottle of wine fresh for an extended period of time.
Prior to launching Repour, Tom spent time working on products across a number of industries (plastic material properties, biodiesel, laundry detergents, aquarium and dog products to name a few).
Tom received a B.S. in Chemistry, Biology and Math from Luther College in 2000 and went on to receive his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin in 2005 and an M.B.A from Marquette University in 2009.
Tom lives in Cedar Rapids, IA, with his wife, Michelle, and their two children. When he’s not inventing new products, Tom enjoys time with his family, being outdoors, and
competitive long distance triathlon, marathons and cross country skiing.
