Born and raised in Wine Country (Adelaide Hills), a part-time job at a famous wine shop during
his university studies first led Ross towards a career in the Wine Industry. He quickly developed
a passion for Victorian Wine and joined famed Winery Innocent Bystander/Giant Steps where
he cut his teeth learning to sell Australian Wine.

As part of this adventure, he moved to Napa, California and looked after multiple Aussie
wineries in several markets including the US, Canada, UK, and Asia. During work travels he met
his wife Vanessa in the place where they now reside - Phoenix, Arizona.
Ross took a 7 year hiatus from working in the Wine Industry and followed his love for the
culinary arts to establish and run multiple restaurants in the Phoenix area. A combination of
washing too many dishes and 3 young boys led Ross back to his true passion – selling Aussie
Wines. He reached out to his good friends at Zilzie and became their VP of Sales in early 2022.
Ross continues to reside in Phoenix and when he is not traveling and telling the wonderful ZIlzie
Story – he can be found at home drinking Sancerre, throwing a football with his boys and
playing the clarinet.
