She earned a B.Sc. in Enology from California State University Fresno and a M.Sc. in Viticulture and Enology from Montpellier SupAgro INRA and Instituto Superior de Agronomia Universidade de Lisboa. Her thesis research with the Australian Wine Research Institute delved into the intricate landscape of yeast interactions and metabolomics—an experience that sparked her enduring fascination with functional metabolites and their potential to enhance human health.

Lauren's experience extends across a myriad of global wine regions and winemaking styles. Her journey brought her to the central coast of California where she worked as a winemaker, serving as a pivotal foundation for her subsequent role as a Technical Winemaking Consultant at Enartis Vinquiry Laboratories.

Propelled by the dynamic evolution of functional non-alcoholic beverages, Lauren joined BevZero as Global Innovation Manager. Today, she is an advisor to Harmony Craft Beverage and spearheads By and By Solutions—a consulting firm focusing on technical consulting services in the wine industry and budding functional adult beverage category. She is also the founder and Winemaker for Ferm(Culture), a sustainable wine label focusing on educating consumers on the fascinating unseen world of microbiology.
