Speaker Bio
Taylor is the owner of TRESOMM, a winery in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico. She developed a deep connection to the region during a visit with friends in 2017. The group was particularly captivated by their experience at Bodegas Magoni, where they met Julio, the son-in-law of winemaker Camillo Magoni, and indulged in delightful wine tastings. Filled with laughter and numerous glasses of wine, they eagerly arranged another visit to meet Camillo. This encounter led to a partnership between Taylor and the Magoni family to produce distinctive wines from organically grown grape varieties like Grignoliño, Falanghina, and Touriga Nacional.
A Los Angeles native, Taylor obtained her BA in Communication from UC Santa Barbara and initially pursued a career at Paradigm Talent Agency for two years. However, her passion for wine led her to shift gears. In 2010, she began working at a small winery and a wine shop, gaining valuable experience. It was during a transformative family trip to Europe, while admiring the Cote-Rotie, that Taylor experienced her enlightening "aha moment."
Upon returning home, Taylor honed her skills at many of LA’s top restaurants. She worked as a Sommelier at Michelin-starred Osteria Mozza, served as the Wine Director for Scopa Italian Roots, Old Lightning, and Dama, all led by renowned chef Antonia Lofaso. Additionally, during her tenure as partner at Dudley Market in Venice, CA, she added the role of fisherman to her repertoire where she sourced local fish for the restaurant's seafood-focused menu.
Taylor holds an Advanced Level Certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers, and was recognized as one of Food & Wine Magazine’s Sommeliers of the Year for 2019.
