An oenologist and agronomist crowned "Best Wine Hope 2003,” Marie-Pierre Lacoste Duchesne has been at the head of Château La Clotte Cazalis in Barsac since 2001. She took over the family business from her mother, who herself had taken over in 1996. Today, Marie-Pierre is also responsible for the technical management of several renowned farms. She trained as a project manager for her prestigious neighbor, Château Guiraud, where she strives to improve the estate's plantings. Marie-Pierre’s love of scuba diving, skydiving and horse riding prepared this accomplished sportswoman for a new challenge: the cultivation of the vines of Château La Clotte-Cazalis with her draft horse.
