David Glancy founded San Francisco Wine School in 2011 to create the ideal educational setting from the ground up, bringing all relevant credentials under one roof. It is now the largest wine school in the United States with a 4,000 square foot wine education & event center near SFO Airport, numerous professional credential programs, consumer workshops, on and off-site corporate events, corporate training and interactive online programs.

Glancy is one of only twelve people in the world to hold both the revered Master Sommelier diploma and a Certified Wine Educator credential. A certified French Wine Scholar, Italian Wine Professional, and Certified Specialist of Spirits, Glancy has earned the credential for every program he teaches, and more. He taught wine and business management at Le Cordon Bleu’s California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, and created and ran the sommelier program at the former Professional Culinary Institute for 5 years helping over 400 students pass the Certified Sommelier exam. He also currently sits on the board of directors for the Society of Wine Educators.
