Growing up in California, Michael’s path to wine began with his very first job in fine dining a role that sparked a curiosity he didn’t yet have words for. What started as learning the mechanics of service quickly became a passion for the language of wine, its culture, and the way it brings people together around the table.

After gaining experience in a variety of restaurants, he advanced to a captain position at Steak 48, where his exposure to an extensive wine program deepened his interest. This curiosity evolved into a commitment, leading him to pursue formal wine education while continuing to refine his palate and service expertise.

Today, Michael is part of a new generation of sommeliers: blending enthusiasm with knowledge, and eager to share the stories behind the glass with guests and peers alike.
