Description

The wine and hospitality industry is built on relationships—but not all relationships are created equal. In an environment where career paths aren’t always linear and leadership roles can feel out of reach, having the right advocates can make all the difference. Whether you’re leading a team, growing within your company, or navigating a new opportunity, building a strong, cross-generational network is essential. The Power of Five is a framework designed to help professionals identify and engage the five types of advocates they need to grow. These aren’t just mentors or sponsors—they’re champions who offer candid feedback, make strategic introductions, and speak your name in rooms you haven’t entered yet. This interactive workshop is designed for professionals at any stage—from emerging talent to seasoned leaders. Participants will reflect on who’s currently in their corner, explore where voices or perspectives may be missing—across generations, backgrounds, and lived experiences—and walk away with a clear action plan to build a personal advisory network that fuels growth, breaks down silos between departments and sectors, and creates more inclusive, intentional leadership pathways within the beverage industry and beyond.

Required Pre-Work:
Before attending, please take a few minutes to reflect on the types of people you’d like to connect with in your professional journey - think in terms of roles, experiences, or perspectives (not specific individuals). This will help you get the most out of the interactive exercises and discussions during the session.
