In this seminar, we will explore the area of Irpinia, the ancient name for the province of Avellino in Campania. We will focus on the three DOCG wines of Irpinia: Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino and Taurasi, discussing their individual characteristics in the vineyard, production methods in the cellar, and their aging capability, which is lengthy for all three wines. We will also look at their history as well as their market presence, and how that has progressed over the past 25 years. We will taste 6-8 wines.
