Working at a high-end produce company may be an unusual beginning for a career in wine, but it allowed Jann Cotter to develop a keen sense of smell – a skill that translates effortlessly into appreciating the nuances of wine. She further honed her expertise in fine wines while working in several restaurants and as a wine broker in San Diego. She later became a wine buyer and store manager for Liquor Barn, a progressive retailer with stores throughout California and Arizona.
