The volcanic region of Lake County has been gaining interest and praise from critics and consumers alike for its capacity to offer award-winning and sustainable wines while providing sommeliers with terroir-driven wines to pour and excite guests. Volcanic terroirs are highly appreciated for their capacity to produce high-quality wines that are complex and distinct, offering great aromatic and flavor intensity and noticeable aging potential. Recent studies carried out by the USGS have provided producers with a better understanding of their soils.
