Maria Bastasch is a creative, NASM certified wellness coach, sommelier and the founder of Disco Mary Collective, a lifestyle brand focused on the intersection of nightlife and wellness. Disco Mary began as a pop-up bar during the pandemic inside of the renowned cocktail bar Columbia Room in Washington, DC. However, Disco Mary continues to create immersive art experiences including installations, parties, and festivals that offer nourishing, functional food and beverage.
Bastasch has used food and beverage to advance health and economic parity, which she sees as integral to holistic wellness. She has also faced her own demons to overcome destructive patterns of drinking and partying but argues that we shouldn’t throw out the baby with the bathwater. Her goal is to advocate for a rich life full of fun, introspection, and inclusion where the party never ends.
