Melanie McIntyre grew up in New Zealand, in the wine region of Waiheke Island. With many
years of harvest experience in various countries around the world, she came to California to
make wine in 2012 and, with a desire to work with cool climate varieties, was Carlo and
Dante Mondavi's very first hire at RAEN as Associate Winegrower in 2017. She oversees the permaculture and organic farming practices of RAEN's coastal vineyards, as well as the winemaking of the winery's small lot pinot noir and chardonnay wines. Her pup Tui is a true winery dog and loves riding the forklift or hunting vineyard gophers!
