Molly Brooks is the Wine Buyer and Director of Events at Meritage Wine Market in Encinitas (San Diego, California). She has worked in wine sales & distribution, was the National Account Manager & wine shop manager for an importer and distributor of German & Mexican wines. She also teaches courses for SDSU’s Business of Wine Certificate Program. She is an Advanced Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, and is WSET Level III Certified, in addition to being a French Wine Scholar, Spanish Wine Scholar, Sherry Wine Scholar, and Certified Cicerone. Molly has curated wine programs for several wine programs in San Diego County.
She assists with restaurant wine programs, private tastings, and other wine-focused events through BarWeThereYet Wine Consulting, and is active in organizing and participating in wine conferences like SommCon and Texsom. She holds a Master’s degree in history from San Diego State University and a BA in history from Pitzer College in Los Angeles. She’s always in pursuit of life’s gastronomic and intellectual pleasures!
