At any of the upper-level industry exams and sommelier competitions, blind tasting seems to be the final hurdle to overcome. From CWE to MS, MW, & WSET, all of them typically end up with tasting being the biggest challenge. No matter how much you taste there are wines that hang many of us up. These "Wine Twins" are grapes (& places) that can easily be confused with each other, and sometimes it's even more of a Tasting Bermuda's Triangle when a 3rd wine starts causing confusion. Certified Wine Educator/Master Sommelier David Glancy will lead you through an evil flight of wines as we isolate the aromatic and structural differences between confusing sets of classic wines. We will break down the decision tree deductive process for each set of wines and in the end, everyone should be able to face these wines more confidently. Attendees will know several sets of wines that are often confused with one another. Attendees will know what is aromatically similar & different within each set of wines. Attendees will know what is structurally similar & different within each set of wines.
