Each person has their own way to taste; the same is true of organizations. Join us to blind taste six wines, differentiating each in differing methods: the Master Sommelier way, breaking it down as in a Master of Wine exam and in the competition format, as the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale requires. Sommeliers and wine professionals are called upon to assess wines constantly. Blind tasting is a critical strategy for developing wine assessment skills but major organizations each have their own ways of doing it. The Court of Master Sommeliers, the Institute of Master of Wine and the Association de la Sommelierie Internationale have varying methods for wine assessment and we will explain and demonstrate those.
