Tanya was first exposed to fine food and wine as a young woman during her studies in France, & New York City, where she worked in fine dining service for over a decade. Today her love of story telling, history, and nature inspire her work. Tanya holds a Bachelor or Fine Arts from New York University, and studied wine formally at the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) through the Diploma level. Tanya is also a Certified Wine Educator, French Wine Scholar, Italian Wine Scholar, Spanish Wine Scholar, and holds Master-Level Diplomas for both the wines of Bourgogne and Provence, all with highest honors. Tanya is faculty at the Northwest Wine Academy at South Seattle College, where she teaches Wine History, and Wines of the World subjects, her wine education company Cellar Muse is the approved Program Provider for Wine Scholar Guild Certifications in the Seattle area, she also teaches WSET coursework, and leads educational wine tours. She is very proud to be an Official Ambassadors of Bourgogne Wines, and to have been named French Wine Scholar Instructor of the Year in 2018.
