Speaker Bio
Born and raised in Queens, Brian Lynch had an epiphany 36 years ago, when he was eating with a girlfriend’s family, at a restaurant called John Byron’s in Milwaukee. Never had he had food so delicious, so beautiful, so … non casserole. The meal was paired with exquisite wine, a new experience for Brian at the time and one he would never forget. Since that time, Brian has lectured at over 500 food and wine dinners and events. He is seen regularly in the lecture circuit in places like Aspen, New Orleans and Chicago, working with chefs like Anthony Bourdain and Mario Batali, explaining the magic that happens when great food and wine are paired.

Brian has spent the last 30 years conveying his passion while working for prestigious firms like Palace Brands, William Grant & Sons, Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Wilson Daniels, Ltd and a 5 year stint developing and building a sales and marketing team at SakeOne. He has since taken on his newest and most exciting challenge of his career, selling the wines he loves most and leading the national sales team at Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant.

Brian was also a partner founder of Spot On Cellars, a winery dedicated to producing cold-climate and organically grown varietals from the Sonoma and Mendocino coasts. This partnership furthered his education and knowledge in winemaking, vineyard management and grape growing and deepened his desire to spread the word as a disciple of Bacchus.

When not working, Brian can usually not be found, as it is his habit to hop a plane given a free moment and check off another place in the world with his partner Laura. He has climbed the Andes in Peru to Machu Picchu, followed the Holy Grail trail throughout Europe, scaled the great pyramid of Cheops, prayed at the Holy See in Rome and is ordained as a minister in the Universal Life Church. Most important, he has spent the last 28 years raising his daughter Natalie (or being raised by her). She has brought more substance to his life than any bio he could have written or any accomplishment he could recall.
