Cameron is New Zealand’s first and only Master Sommelier. Cameron is an experienced wine writer, commentator, judge, reviewer, presenter and consultant. He takes his position as unofficial Ambassador for New Zealand wine very seriously, ensuring he spends time regularly in every wine region in the country. He selects for and is part of the NZ Wine Navigator team - an online supplier of New Zealand wine for the USA market. He judges and presents wine regularly in the USA, the UK, Australia and Asia. In May 2022 he resumed judging at the Decanter World Wine awards in London as Regional Chair of Judges for NZ, and is Chair of Judges for the Canberra International Riesling
Awards. At home in NZ his World of Wine magazine features reviews and article and is published bi-annually. Cameron is the wine & beverage feature writer for MiNDFOOD & Style magazines and his wine reviews are available through his website camdouglasms.com. Cameron is the Group Beverage Manager for Rodd and Gunn & The Lodge Bar Dining – a position that encompasses their global operations.
