Pablo Ugarte is a key figure in the wine industry, with 30 years of experience. He is CEO of CATADOR SpA and Vice President of VINOFED, where he has influenced the evaluation, promotion, and marketing of wine through events such as the Catad’Or World Wine Awards, Catad’Or World Spirits Awards, the Alistair Cooper MW Guide by Catad’Or, and the online store www.catadorstore.cl.
For more than 15 years he has served as a judge in over 14 international competitions, co-taster in the Alistair Cooper MW Guide by Catad’Or, and has worked in the territorial development of small wineries with institutions such as INDAP, ProChile, Wines of Chile, and CORFO.
With a wine diploma from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, he has been fundamental in promoting Chilean wines in international markets, highlighting his role in the opening of the InvestChile office in Paris.
