My name is Daniel Cools and I have spent the last 25+ years in the restaurant industry. My long career as a hospitality professional has taken me to multiple states including California, Hawaii, Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin. I am currently the Beverage Director and Sommelier for Juniper and Ivy in Little Italy, San Diego. I have held multiple roles over the years that were involved with Beverage Purchasing, Management, and direct sales in San Diego. The most recent restaurants I have been part of leadership have been AVANT at Rancho Bernardo Inn, Beverage Director for Blue Bridge Hospitality in Coronado, and Beverage Manager for Cucina Enoteca in Del Mar. I am currently an Advanced Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, and one day hope to sit for the MS Exam.
